Refund Policy
URCCM Theological Seminary & Bible College
1. Introduction
Upper Room Christian Citadel Ministry (URCCM) Theological Seminary & Bible College appreciates the support, generosity and commitment of our students, members, partners, donors and visitors.
This Refund Policy explains the circumstances under which payments, donations, application fees, programme fees and other payments made through our website or directly to URCCM may or may not be refunded.
By making a payment through our website or any payment channel provided by URCCM, you acknowledge and agree to this Refund Policy.
2. Donations and Building Project Contributions
Donations, offerings, gifts, pledges and contributions made towards the ministry, including contributions towards the URCCM Building Project, are regarded as voluntary contributions.
Once a donation has been successfully processed and allocated towards the intended ministry purpose, it is generally non-refundable.
However, URCCM may consider a refund where:
- A payment was made more than once because of a technical error.
- An incorrect amount was entered accidentally.
- A transaction was processed incorrectly.
- A payment was made without the authorisation of the account or card holder.
- There is clear evidence of a payment-processing error.
Any request for correction or refund should be submitted as soon as reasonably possible after the transaction.
3. Application and Registration Fees
Application, admission-processing, registration and other administrative fees may be non-refundable once URCCM has commenced processing the relevant application or service.
Where a particular programme or application has specific refund conditions, those conditions will take precedence and will normally be communicated to the applicant before or during registration.
4. Tuition and Programme Fees
Tuition, seminar, training, conference, course and programme fees will be subject to the refund or cancellation conditions communicated for the particular programme.
Where no separate programme-specific refund policy has been provided, URCCM will consider refund requests individually, taking into account:
- Whether the programme has commenced.
- Services or materials already provided.
- Administrative costs already incurred.
- The reason for withdrawal or cancellation.
- Any exceptional circumstances affecting the participant.
Payment of a fee does not automatically guarantee that the entire amount will be refundable following withdrawal from a programme.
5. Programme Cancelled by URCCM
Where URCCM cancels a paid programme, seminar, course or event and does not provide a suitable alternative date or arrangement, affected participants may be entitled to a full or appropriate refund of the relevant programme fee.
URCCM may also offer the participant the option of transferring the payment to another programme or future date.
6. Duplicate or Failed Transactions
If you are charged more than once for the same transaction, please contact us with:
- Your full name.
- Email address.
- Telephone number.
- Transaction date.
- Amount paid.
- Transaction reference.
- Evidence of payment.
A transaction shown as pending or unsuccessful should first be confirmed with the applicable bank or payment service provider before another payment is made.
7. Payment Gateway Charges
Where payments are processed through banks or third-party payment gateways, certain transaction, processing, banking or service charges may not be refundable where those charges have already been retained by the payment service provider.
Where applicable, any approved refund may therefore be subject to deductions for legitimate non-refundable transaction charges.
8. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will normally be made through the original payment method where reasonably possible.
URCCM may request additional information to verify:
- The identity of the person requesting the refund.
- Ownership of the payment method.
- The transaction concerned.
- The reason for the refund request.
Processing times may also depend on banks, card networks and third-party payment service providers and may therefore be outside the direct control of URCCM.
9. Fraudulent or Abusive Claims
URCCM reserves the right to reject refund requests that are fraudulent, misleading, abusive or unsupported by appropriate transaction evidence.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Nigerian law.
10. Changes to This Refund Policy
URCCM may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will become effective when the revised policy is published on our website.
